Kaneez has led the VCSE panel of colleagues from the third sector as part of our race equity work in West Yorkshire. This panel provides insight and challenge into the race equity programme that is a standing item at the Partnership Board of our Integrated Care System. Kaneez has represented the panel’s views at every public meeting. In doing so, she has been challenging and keen to ensure progress is made that will genuinely bring change for local people and reduce health inequalities. She is a passionate advocate for the third sector and connections to communities; in particular those small organisations that make up the majority of the sector and are deeply embedded in those communities. She brings an authentic perspective to conversations, with positive actions as a result.
